Responsible Gaming

This page covers what this site can and cannot do for a reader whose gambling is becoming a problem, along with practical habits that keep play under control.

Limits

This site is a set of static pages. It has no account, no form and no server-side application, so nothing published here can switch on, check or enforce any control over your play. Deposit caps, loss caps, reality checks, cooling-off periods and self-exclusion are things you arrange yourself, inside your own account at the destination where you gamble.

No gambling takes place on this site, and nobody's age is verified here. Any check of that kind happens at the destination. Gambling is for adults aged eighteen and over, and that restriction is repeated throughout this site, including on the front page.

No advertising or behavioural profiling network runs in these pages, so nothing here is targeted at a reader who has shown risky behaviour.

Habits

  • Decide the amount before you start. A limit set in a calm moment is more reliable than one set mid-session.
  • Treat that money as already spent. If you expect it back, every loss feels like a debt to recover.
  • Never chase a loss. Raising stakes to win money back turns a small loss into a larger one.
  • Keep borrowed money out of it. Credit and loans add repayments to losses and make stopping harder.
  • Take breaks. Stepping away interrupts the momentum that stretches a session longer than you planned.
  • Involve someone else early. Once gambling stops feeling like entertainment, telling someone you trust gives you an outside view.

Help

Every page of this site, this one included, carries links to five independent gambling-help organisations:

  • BeGambleAware
  • Gamble Aware
  • Gambling Therapy
  • G GamCare Gambling Support: Starts Here
  • NCPG

These are the only non-commercial outbound links on the site. Unlike the operator links, they carry no sponsored marking. They are set to nofollow and open in a separate tab on each organisation's own website. This site receives nothing when you follow them.
